LRT Director General is a sole management body that manages and represents LRT, is responsible for the activities of LRT, the programmes produced and broadcast by LRT, and for the implementation of the Council’s decisions. The Director General acts in the interests of the public and LRT.
In 2018, Monika Garbačiauskaitė-Budrienė was appointed as the Director General of LRT for a five-year term by a public tender.
